The goal is to create an industrial inspection device along with cloud-based software that can be flexibly adapted to the needs of manufacturing companies. As part of its latest R&D project, Intratel is working on an intelligent inspection camera connected to a SaaS platform.
This platform will enable management of artificial intelligence algorithms, allowing them to capture information critical to specific processes. The software will also facilitate managing connected devices installed on production lines, making it easier for companies to quickly and independently adjust quality control parameters—an important capability, especially for short production runs of custom-ordered product series.
The development of the solution is currently progressing on two fronts. Intratel’s engineers are collecting visual data, which is then used to train the neural network. The algorithm being prepared will be compatible with both advanced hardware and IoT devices equipped with AI accelerators. In parallel, we are working to optimize the hardware configuration so that it operates flawlessly in a production hall environment. Through collaboration with SMP Poland, a leading automotive parts manufacturer, we have the opportunity to test possible configurations of the system in a real component manufacturing process.
The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2022. As an innovative project, it is funded by the European Regional Development Fund.
