On the golf course, they are first and foremost athletes. On the golf course, they are athletes first. Wherever they are, however, they are driven by the same ambition – to perform with the utmost precision and in the best possible style.
The players of the Polish IT Golf League have just completed the fifth in a series of 12 tournaments to be held this summer on golf courses across Poland. Intratel was the title sponsor of the competition; for the second year in a row, we are also one of the main sponsors of the league.
On the 100-hectare Sand Valley course near Pasłęk, players competed for the top 3 places in the gross strokeplay (sum of strokes) and net Stableford (sum of points calculated including handicap) classifications. There were also 2 side competitions in which golfers tried to hit the longest drive and the closest to the pin putt.
The winner of the gross score competition was Marcin Dobrowolski, followed by Marcin Morawski and Dariusz Daniluk in 2nd and 3rd place respectively.
The net score was won by Piotr Domański, Tymoteusz Małkus and Szymon Greniuk.
The longest shot of the tournament was hit by Kamil Kurnicki, while Marcin Dobrowolski won the Nearest to the Pin award.
The Polish IT Golf League brings together players with a professional connection to the IT industry. To join, you also need a Green Card – a golf “driver’s license” that entitles you to play on championship golf courses. One way to get it is to join the IT Golf Academy. The Academy regularly trains new players who later join PLGIT. For information and registration, visit the Dell EMC Golf Academy website.
